During your audition coaching, self-tape, individual or pairs class, my approach is caring and responsive. I am an accredited AACE member (safe coach), an ACTRA member 30+ years and retired DGC member. I draw from experience on both sides of the camera.
For aspiring writers with screenplays in development, I offer workshop sessions to further develop your story ideas, characters & dialogue, pitch decks, and more…

meet SUSAN HAMANn
My passion for acting and teaching are both fuelled by a lifelong curiosity about the human condition - what makes people tick.
Gaining a better understanding of the self is the foundation of becoming a confident and well rounded actor. Scene study, character work, and other acting exercises are the places we go to practice our craft. To learn to play your instrument as an actor is to know yourself and your craft. I believe in teaching and coaching that serves your ability to embody your insights into what works for you. Your “aha” moment of growth is our success. That’s why I tailor sessions to meet your needs where you are now and to guide you to where you want to go.
I built Page To Camera as a safe place for creative artists to come for exploration without judgment. My own training includes an honours BA with High Distinction ( Drama Specialist) University of Toronto, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York City, Equity Showcase: Master Method Acting Series and Second City Improv, Toronto. I have taught acting and comedy at various performing arts academies and writing skills at Humber College where I received awards for my teaching. I am an accredited member of The Association Of Acting Coaches and Educators (AACE), a working ACTRA member, and a retired member of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC).
